Marketing and logistics for online shops
Retailing construction materials online, round the clock – sounds simple. At least that’s what we thought, until we began thinking about the logistics. No small matter, when you’re talking about goods which are ordered by the pallet and might have to be returned. However, we found a solution with the help of the manufacturers. They also joined forces with us in realising the concept, consisting of S, L and XL packages for every size of building.
The shop is based on a CMS and integrated into a TYPO3 editing environment, offering plenty of space for DIY tips and information for those involved in the challenging project of building their own house.
We took care of the concept, design and programming, as well as marketing to specialist retailers and consumers. The material comes from leading manufacturers, while operative business is conducted via the initiator, an over-the-counter construction materials retailer.
